  • Manufacturers are responsible for creating their own VIN number using NHTSA’s VIN formula and that submitting the VIN to NHTSA along with a letter of introduction.
  • State Registration and Regulation -each state has its own licensing requirements and regulatory requirements. Please contact your state agency for these requirements.
  • Federal Regulations - There are countless federal regulations that must be followed by trailer manufacturers.
